The romance world recently suffered a great loss with the death of one of the great names in the genre, Jo Beverley.

Beverley published more than 40 historical romances and was famous for her meticulous research and use of accurate historical details, which included a terrific guide to English peerage titles in the 18th and 19th centuries she made freely available on her website. She was also a five-time winner of the RITA, the top award of the Romance Writers of America, and a member of RWA’s Hall of Fame, as well as a winner of two Career Achievement awards from Romantic Times.  Her best known series include the Regency series Company of Rogues and the 18th century Georgian series centering on the Malloren family.
