EBSCO is currently offering a variety of resources for free to support schools migrating to remote learning environments and parents who are homeschooling their children. Some of these resources to support distance learning include free e-books, activities, and lesson plans.
Downloadable study packets are available on topics such as the attack on Pearl Harbor, dinosaurs, authors, history, and science. Cricket Media Magazines is offering downloads of Click, Ask, and Cricket along with teacher guides. EBSCO has created scavenger hunts to help students and staff become familiar with the content and functionality of Explora, as well as lesson plans for integrating EBSCO resources within school curricula. Explora and most of EBSCO’s school reference centers integrate with Google for Education tools such as Google Classroom and Google Drive; EBSCO has tutorials and guides for how to incorporate EBSCO and Google tools together.
Although college admissions testing dates have been postponed, many high school students are still studying for the ACT, SAT, and AP tests, as well as the GED. PrepSTEP for High Schools has made several e-books available through June 30, 2020 and they can be downloaded as PDFs. These downloads, as well as other links, may be found through EBSCO’s Support for Distance Learning.
