But first, perhaps you might be wondering what exactly a VOX Book is? Well, it’s a new read-along book that’s equipped with an audio box that will read aloud to children while they follow along. Not only that, but books are enhanced with music and noises.
Each book uses a jingle or a sound that lets the reader know when it's time to turn the page. Check out the staff favorite Monster Truck that revs an engine when it's time to turn the page. The collection of VOX Books offers fiction titles such as That is Not a Good Idea! by Mo Willems and nonfiction titles like Giant Pandas by Kari Schuetz.
VOX Books are easy to use. The slim audio box in the front of the book has control buttons that allow you to play, pause, stop, and adjust volume. Readers can listen with the speaker or use headphones. They are perfect to use on-the-go as the battery-powered audio box will read 100 to 150 times between charges. You can check books out for four weeks, plus they’re renewable. Try browsing the VOX collection at the Burlington County Library, Bordentown, Cinnaminson, Evesham, Maple Shade, Pemberton, Pinelands and Riverton branches. You can also search the catalog from home and have books sent to any of our locations for pick up. By doing a subject search in our catalog for VOX, you will get a complete list of books.
Happy Reading!
