If you’re eager to spend some time reading this fall, plan to swing by the Burlington County Library Sept. 16-19 to shop for bargains at the Friends of the Library’s indoor books and media sale.
This will be the Friends’ first indoor book sale in more than a year and during the four-day event, shoppers will have an opportunity to browse thousands of used books, as well as a wide selection of DVDs, CDs and more. Have fun stocking up, but please be mindful of others while you make your selections; masks and social distancing are required.
The sale will be held:
- Thursday, Sept. 16 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm
- Friday, Sept. 17 from 9 am to 8:30 pm
- Saturday, Sept. 18 from 9 am to 4:30 pm
- Sunday, Sept. 19 from 1 pm to 4 pm
Want to beat the crowds and shop for bargains even before the doors open to the public? A preview sale will be offered to Friends members only on Thursday, Sept. 16 from 4 pm to 6 pm. (Become a Friends member at the door for $15 per person, $20 per family, $10 per senior/senior family, $50 per patron, or $100 per business.)
Shoppers will have thousands of books to choose from, most of which were donated to the library and are being offered for the first time. Look for titles in all subject categories for $1 each, as well as specially priced books for $2.50 and up. There will also be a wide selection of DVD movies and audio books for $2 each, and music CDs for $1 each.
Need to make some room at home for your new treasures? Consider donating your unwanted books, DVDs and CDs in good condition to the Friends of the Burlington County Library, Inc. (Children’s books are especially welcome, but please, no magazines, encyclopedias, Readers Digest books and paperbacks more than 10 years old.) Please leave your items on the “donation cart” located in the rear of the Burlington County Library by the door. All book sale proceeds benefit Burlington County Library programming.
