The Burlington County Library System is so lucky to have a team with wide-ranging knowledge and diverse interests. While many customers may know the names and faces of librarians at their local branch, we want to take the time to introduce more of our staff from around the system.

Hello, my name is Nancy Fort. I am the librarian and branch manager at the Riverton Library.  I began my career with BCLS eight years ago as a part-time library assistant. I have also worked at the Burlington County Library in Westampton and the Bordentown Library.  My favorite thing about being a librarian is meeting all the people that come through our door.  As a children’s librarian, I host preschool story times, yoga story time, parachute play, and special themed after-school programs for children.

Fun facts about me:

  • I love to sing and dance and do lots of it during story times.
  • I like riding my bike around historic Riverton, playing lawn games like ladder ball with my friends and family, and trying out new recipes.
  • Yoga is my choice for exercise and Starbucks is my favorite coffee place.
  • My favorite color is purple, which was the color of the first new car I ever bought and the color of my latest purchase…a new bike.

I read all types of books. Here are a few that I would definitely recommend:
