Teens are encouraged by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) and librarians to “read for the fun of it” during Teen Read Week this year. Teen Read Week is celebrated annually by libraries across the nation and was started by YALSA to inspire teens to become lifelong readers and library users. This year’s theme promotes library resources and services available to the multi-lingual teen.
Between school, homework, extracurricular activities, and part-time jobs, it is no surprise that many teens have very little free time to devote to reading. A few Burlington County teens took time out of their busy schedules to share their favorite and least favorite books they have read so far this year.
