All Burlington County residents are eligible for library membership, as are active duty military personnel stationed at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and their families. Those residing in Moorestown, Willingboro and Mount Laurel, who do not pay the dedicated county library tax, are eligible for paid membership.
Eligible residents may visit any library location to register for a card or apply online.
Upon completion of the online application, you will receive a temporary barcode allowing you to place up to five items on request via the online catalog. Please visit the library location you selected during the application process within 60 days to activate your card to receive access to books, thousands of streaming movies, databases, OverDrive digital collections and more.
BCLS has reciprocal borrowing agreements with Atlantic and Ocean County libraries. Library cardholders of these neighboring counties are eligible to apply for a Burlington County Library card. Applicants must present their home library card at the time of application. Likewise, Burlington County Library cardholders are eligible to apply for Atlantic and Ocean County Library cards. BCLS cardholders must present their cards when applying for membership at these other libraries.
