Do you know where wrinkles come from? What about what the Butterfly Effect is, or how expiration dates are determined? All these questions - and more - can be explored on Wonderopolis. Wonderopolis asks an intriguing question, called “The Wonder of the Day,” and explores it in a variety of ways. Topics are multi-disciplinary and broken up into various subjects such as science, math, social studies, language, technology, and arts and culture.

Each “Wonder of the Day” features detailed explanations with vocabulary terms, sources, suggestions for continued engagement such as further reading or experiments, and a quiz to test knowledge gained. There is also a suggestion page for kids to submit their own questions to be tackled as a future “Wonder of the Day.” All content purposefully aligns to Common Core State Standards (CCSS), the STEM Educational Quality Framework, and Bloom's Digital Taxonomy.
